How to clean stones
In order to take full advantage of their potential, it is essential to clean and charge the stones. And it is even more important to do so with those that filter bad energies.
There are different methods, but the simplest are:
- Immerse the crystal in a bowl of salt water. This is the traditional method for energetically cleansing minerals.
- Smoking it with sage smoke. Sage smudging is an ancient ritual that has been used in many cultures to purify objects and spaces.
- You can also clean your stones with incense smoke. This is the best way to revitalize the energy of the stones. We recommend using incense such as myrrh, sandalwood or copal.
- Leave the crystal under the light of the full moon. The light of the full moon is the most natural way to clean stones, as it enhances their vibrations and prepares them for new cycles.
Energy stones also need to be recharged

Here we share different ways to do it:
- Hold the crystal in your non-dominant hand, close your eyes and visualize a white halo. You must state your intentions clearly so that the stone can absorb them.
- Place the crystal under the light of the Moon or Sun for at least 24 hours. The Moon will purify it, while the Sun will fill it with vitality.
- Some stones, such as amethyst, quartz or selenite, can recharge others. Simply place your crystal next to one of these stones and let their energy balance each other.
- Use a Tibetan bowl or tuning fork to recharge your energy by absorbing the vibrations of each sound.
